Positioning brief
Define the audience, their problem, the alternatives, and the specific value the business can credibly provide. Make the strategic trade-offs explicit.
Brand Strategy & Messaging Services
I work with you on how your business describes itself: who you serve, what you offer, and why someone should care. Then I help turn those choices into words your team can use.
If your website, sales deck, and social profiles describe three different businesses, people have to do the work of figuring you out. I help you settle on a description that is clear and true to the offer.
I review the audience, alternatives, positioning, and messages. The output can include your main proposition, product descriptions, website copy, and creative guidance. Naming or visual identity production is agreed separately.
We’ll agree on the tasks, costs, and responsibilities before I start. These are the areas we can include.
Define the audience, their problem, the alternatives, and the specific value the business can credibly provide. Make the strategic trade-offs explicit.
Create the central proposition, supporting messages, evidence, and objection answers. Give each message a role rather than collecting interchangeable taglines.
Translate the core story into website, advertising, social, and sales contexts. Preserve consistency without forcing identical copy everywhere.
Document language, proof requirements, visual direction, and review ownership. Make the guidance usable by internal teams and external specialists.
Review customer language, competitive alternatives, and the current offer. Separate what matters to buyers from what is merely familiar internally.
Decide what the brand should stand for in this market and what it should not claim. A useful position makes choices easier.
Connect headlines and supporting detail with credible evidence. Address the objections that prevent a buyer from moving forward.
Use the guidance in real pages and campaigns. Review comprehension and response before treating the first wording as permanent.
I’ll look at the information you already have and agree with you on what to track. Here are some of the questions we can use it to answer.
Whether intended buyers understand the offer.
The decision: Find unclear language before increasing distribution.
Alignment of key pages, ads, and sales material.
The decision: Remove contradictory promises and outdated descriptions.
Useful next steps from the intended audience.
The decision: Check whether the new story supports the right demand.
A few details about brand strategy & messaging services.
No. A logo is one expression of a brand. The strategic work defines the audience, position, value, and message that design and communication should express. Specialist identity design can be scoped when needed, but changing the logo alone will not fix an offer that buyers cannot understand.
Yes. Message architecture can be applied to the homepage, service pages, advertising, and sales material. The scope should identify priority destinations, evidence requirements, review responsibilities, and the amount of production work. Copy should reflect a real offer rather than create promises the business cannot support.
By being specific about the customer problem, the way the work is delivered, the evidence available, and the situations where the offer fits. Clear boundaries can be more convincing than broad superlatives. The aim is a recognizable, credible reason to choose the business, not an invented claim of market leadership.
